The wallet extension is free to install from the official website. Some blockchain transactions and third-party services may involve network fees or other costs—always review them before confirming.

Does MetaMask hold my funds for me?

MetaMask is a self-custody wallet. You control your Secret Recovery Phrase and wallet access. If you lose that phrase, support cannot recover it for you.

Where should I download the extension?
